The name Glaucoma is gradually becoming a household name. Glaucoma is an eye disorder which tends to affect the optic nerve (a very important nerve/communication link) that takes information from the eyes to the brain.
High intra-ocular pressure in the eyes is basically what affects the optic nerve, at times the pressure may be normal but still the damage is ongoing behind in the eyes.
Blindness due to Glaucoma is IRREVERSIBLE. Unfortunately, Glaucoma usually doesn’t come with any symptom and so many people don’t bother coming to the eye clinic.
MY EYES CENTER AT ALL TIMES EVEN AT THE FIRST VISIT ALWAYS SCREEN PATIENTS FOR GLAUCOMA.
